Students’ engagement in classroom activities has been at the center of attention these days that affect learners’ success, mental health and alternatively, their disengagement impacts their achievement and may also affect their future professional well-being. Motivation is another important contributor to success in education, which is also in line with engagement. Likewise, demotivation has been a concentration point of instructional research; yet, it has not obtained much concentration in the realm of language acquisition. Indeed, English as Foreign Language (EFL) learners’ demotivation has an essential role in hindering their learning in the English language learning classroom. The level of these two concepts, namely disengagement and demotivation is influenced by different factors in students and as far as EFL teaching is concerned, one of these factors is school climate which is deemed as a predictor of academic success. Indeed, the learning climate has been attracting the attention of researchers for decades given that this construct improves or prevents student achievement and poor mental health. Nevertheless, its contribution to mitigating learners’ demotivation and disengagement has not been scrutinized yet. Accordingly, this review presents the power of the learning climate where EFL students are learning a language and its role in students’ demotivation and disengagement. Subsequently, this is followed by giving some implications for EFL teachers, school authorities, and researchers.

Objective: Despite numerous studies on the influence of regular engagement in physical activity and sports on mental health and quality of life across various demographics, there has been limited focus on its impact within the nursing profession. As a result, this study seeks to explore the effects of sports and physical activity participation on the mental health and quality of life of nurses. Methods: The current study utilized a descriptive correlational design and was conducted in a cross-sectional manner. The target population consisted of all nurses employed in the hospitals of Tehran. The research sample was selected using an available sampling method, specifically among nurses who expressed their willingness to participate in the study. A total of 384 male and female nurses took part in the research and successfully completed the provided questionnaires. Standard questionnaires were used for data collection. Pearson correlation test and the structural equation modeling were used for data analysis. Results: Results reveled that physical activity significantly affected depression (T= - 5.254), anxiety (T= - 6.471) and stress (T= - 4.527). In addition, physical activity significantly affected quality of life (T=3.627). Results of model fit are presented in Table 3 and indicated that the research model has good fit. Conclusion: This implies that nurses could greatly enhance their well-being through increased engagement in physical activity and a decrease in sedentary habits. As a result, we strongly urge healthcare policymakers to implement measures aimed at increasing physical activity levels among nurses.

The present research is devoted to the study of the effect of teaching self-regulation learning strategies (cognition, metacognition) on self-efficacy and mental health of students in Astara city. The statistical population included all the female students of the first high school (second period) of Astara city in the academic year of 1996-1997. Among these students, 46 students were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method and they were randomly replaced into two experimental and control groups. The instruments used were: Pentrich and Groot's self-regulated learning strategies questionnaire (1990) and Goldberg and Hiller's general health questionnaire. (1979). The current research is a semi-experimental research of the pre-test-post-test design type with a control group. After conducting the pre-test for the experimental and control groups, the experimental group was trained in self-regulated learning strategies for 10 sessions of 60 minutes based on the theoretical background of the research of Nunes et al. et al., under the title of "How to comprehensively self-regulate?" Then the post-test was done for the experimental and control groups. The results of multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) and univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed a significant difference in self-efficacy in the experimental group, but this significance was not observed in mental health.

Objective: To investigate the effect of family therapy education in promoting mental health and reducing depression in adolescents with high-risk behaviors. Methods:  The present study was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. It included all teenage girls in the second year of high school with high-risk behaviors in Ardabil province. In this study, 30 eligible patients were selected and invited purposefully. The researchers randomly divided the participants into two family therapy training groups (15 people) and a control group (15 people). The experimental group was taught the methods and techniques of family therapy education strategies for eight 90-minute sessions. In contrast, during this period, the control group received no psychological training on the mental health and resilience scale. The data were compared using multivariate and univariate analysis of variance. All statistical analyses were performed in SPSS software version 26. Results:  Compared to the control group, the experimental group was able to reduce the depression score and increase the mental health score at the level of P<0.001 with the intervention of family therapy training. The most significant effect size (η=0.543) is related to mental health, which shows that 54% of the variance of the mental health variable between the experimental and control groups is due to the independent variable (family therapy training). Conclusion: The results showed that family therapy training increases mental health and reduces depression in adolescents with high-risk behaviors. Therefore, family therapy training is recommended for adolescents with high-risk behaviors to increase mental health, reduce depression and improve their quality of life.

Purpose: The interaction styles of teachers play a significant role in improving both academic and non-academic outcomes for students. Thus, this study aimed to determine the structural relationship of teachers' interaction styles based on social adaptability, psychological hardiness, and academic achievement motivation with mental health mediation in eighth grade female students. Methodology: This study was applied in its objective and cross-sectional in its execution, utilizing a correlational type. The population of this study comprised all eighth-grade female students in the city of Kangavar in the academic year 1401-1402, totaling 2417 students. Based on the Krejcie and Morgan table, 379 of them were selected as the sample through multi-stage cluster random sampling. Data collection tools included questionnaires on teachers' interaction styles, social adaptability, psychological hardiness, academic achievement motivation, and mental health, which were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method in Amos software. Findings: The findings of this study indicated that the variables of social adaptability, psychological hardiness, and academic achievement motivation had a direct and significant effect on mental health, and the variables of social adaptability, psychological hardiness, academic achievement motivation, and mental health had a direct and significant effect on teachers' interaction styles. Moreover, the variables of social adaptability, psychological hardiness, and academic achievement motivation had an indirect and significant effect on teachers' interaction styles through the mediation of mental health (P<0.05). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, to improve interaction styles, it is possible to create conditions for improving the variables of social adaptability, psychological hardiness, academic achievement motivation, and the mental health of students.

The sense of success or failure is contingent on an individual's attitude toward themselves and their circumstances. One of the primary reasons for feelings of failure is comparing oneself to others without considering distinguishing factors. Happiness is a subjective concept and is primarily achieved through focusing on one's own possessions. In the Quranic culture, God advises humans to perceive the blessings and divine favors bestowed upon them. Undoubtedly, recognizing successes and opportunities fosters a sense of achievement. Accordingly, this research, employing a descriptive-analytical approach and content analysis, seeks to identify the relationship between recognizing blessings and mental well-being. The findings indicate that appreciating blessings and reinforcing this perception facilitates the attainment of serenity, which is a key component of mental health. Factors such as contemplation and reasoning, lack of sadness, self-esteem, an elevated lifestyle, realistic perspectives, absence of pride, and being devoted to remembrance are impacts of recognizing blessings on mental well-being.
