حوزههای تخصصی:
Objective: In this study, the intervention of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) on resilience, rumination, and dysfunctional attitudes in infertile couples is studied.Method: The research design was quasi-experimental with pre-test-post-test and a one-month follow-up with control groups. The statistical population of the study consisted of infertile couples referred to Ibn Sina Infertility Center in Tehran, where 30 infertile couples aged 24-40 were selected as research samples by using a purposive sampling method based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, who were then randomly assigned into two groups of 15 couples. The research instruments were Connor and Davidson's (2003) Resilience Questionnaire, the Nalen and Huxma (1991) rumination, and the Weissman and Beck (1978) dysfunctional attitude questionnaire that were provided to both groups to collect the required data. The control group stayed on the waiting list, and the mindfulness training was performed for the experimental group during eight weekly sessions (two 90-minute sessions per week), according to Segal, Williams, and Tisdale MBCT Protocol (2018). The sessions were performed online and on Skyroom's platform. The research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA).Results: The results showed that MBCT treatment improved resilience and reduced rumination and dysfunctional attitudes in the experimental group and the post-test and follow-up phase (P<0/001).Conclusion: According to the results, employing this approach for infertile couples is helpful and it can be suggested for improving their psychological conditions.
The Effects of Aerobic Training on Depression and Resilience among Healthcare Workers

حوزههای تخصصی:
This study aimed to examine the predictive relationship between self-advocacy, resilience, and adaptive behavior in adults with ADHD. A correlational descriptive research design was used, with a sample of 400 adults with ADHD recruited through online platforms and mental health clinics. Participants completed standardized assessments, including the Adaptive Behavior Assessment System-Third Edition (ABAS-3) for adaptive behavior, the Self-Advocacy Measure for Youth and Adults (SAMYA), and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression in SPSS-27 to evaluate the relationships between self-advocacy, resilience, and adaptive behavior. Descriptive statistics indicated moderate levels of adaptive behavior (M = 85.32, SD = 9.87), self-advocacy (M = 60.41, SD = 11.56), and resilience (M = 69.87, SD = 14.92). Pearson correlation results revealed significant positive associations between adaptive behavior and both self-advocacy (r = 0.58, p < 0.01) and resilience (r = 0.62, p < 0.01). Multiple linear regression showed that self-advocacy and resilience collectively accounted for 44% of the variance in adaptive behavior (F(2, 397) = 45.82, p < 0.01, R² = 0.44). However, when examined separately, self-advocacy (B = -0.09, p = 0.024) had a significant negative predictive effect, while resilience (B = -0.022, p = 0.502) was not a significant predictor. The findings suggest that while both self-advocacy and resilience are correlated with adaptive behavior, their individual predictive effects differ, with self-advocacy playing a more prominent role. These results highlight the importance of fostering self-advocacy skills in adults with ADHD to enhance adaptive functioning. Further research is needed to explore moderating factors that may influence these relationships.
Women’s Participation in Disaster Risk Reduction: Capacities and Challenges(مقاله پژوهشی وزارت بهداشت)
INTRODUCTION: Given the increasing natural hazards, there is an increasing emphasis on innovative disaster risk reduction (DRR) initiatives aimed at increasing resilience and recognizing women as key stakeholders in all disaster management activities, although their role remains limited for unclear reasons. Since understanding gender issues and their impact in shaping people's lives is crucial in disaster risk reduction, this study seeks to examine the effective role of women's participation in disaster risk reduction. METHODS: In this descriptive-analytical and library study, factors such as women's empowerment, increasing participation in decision-making levels, improving access to resources and information, and changing traditional attitudes that play a role in reducing women's vulnerability were examined. The necessary data were collected by reviewing relevant parameters in reputable articles, reports and books. The statistical population includes women from disaster-prone countries such as Tamil Nadu (India), Bangladesh, Nepal, Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Ethiopia and other countries. FINDINGS: The findings indicate that women’s vulnerability to disasters is a combination of biological, social, cultural, economic and political factors, and that traditional caregiving roles, gender discrimination and inequalities in access to resources, information and decision-making increase their vulnerability. In addition, disasters impose more severe psychological, social and economic consequences on women. CONCLUSION: According to the results, due to unequal social and cultural structures, women are more vulnerable to natural and man-made disasters. Therefore, disaster management policies and actions must be gender-sensitive. Empowering women, promoting their participation in decision-making, improving their access to resources and information, and changing traditional attitudes can reduce the impact of crises on women and increase the overall resilience of society.

Exploring the Role of Humor as a Coping Component in Marital Satisfaction(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزههای تخصصی:
Objective: This study aimed to explore how humor functions as a coping mechanism that contributes to marital satisfaction among couples in Slovenia. Methods and Materials: A qualitative design was employed, relying on semi-structured interviews to capture couples’ lived experiences of humor in marriage. Twenty-four participants (12 couples) from Slovenia, married for at least three years, were recruited using purposive sampling. Interviews were conducted until theoretical saturation was achieved, with each session lasting between 60 and 90 minutes. Data were transcribed verbatim and analyzed thematically using NVivo 14 software. Trustworthiness was enhanced through peer debriefing, member checking, and triangulation with field notes. Findings: Four major themes emerged from the data: (1) Humor as an Emotional Buffer, where couples described humor as a strategy for stress relief, emotional recovery, and conflict de-escalation; (2) Humor and Intimacy, highlighting the role of shared jokes, playful teasing, and affectionate humor in strengthening closeness and trust; (3) Humor as a Communication Strategy, with participants explaining how humor allowed them to soften criticism, indirectly express sensitive issues, and repair conflicts; and (4) Humor and Marital Resilience, where humor facilitated coping with external stressors, fostered perspective-taking, and sustained hope during challenges such as illness or financial strain. Couples reported that affiliative and self-enhancing humor styles were most beneficial, while aggressive humor could undermine satisfaction. Humor was also noted as increasingly expressed through digital interactions, including memes and messaging. Conclusion: The findings suggest that humor is a multidimensional coping resource in marriage, functioning simultaneously as an emotional, relational, communicative, and resilience-enhancing tool. While humor generally promotes marital satisfaction, its effects depend on style and context. These insights highlight the importance of constructive humor in maintaining healthy, satisfying, and enduring marital relationships.
A Causal Model of Marital Quality of Life Based on Resilience with the Mediating Role of Sexual Satisfaction in Married Teachers(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزههای تخصصی:
Objective: This study aimed to investigate a causal model of marital quality of life based on psychological resilience with the mediating role of sexual satisfaction in married teachers. Methods and Materials: The research employed a descriptive-correlational design using structural equation modeling (SEM). The sample consisted of 375 married teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), the Sexual Satisfaction Questionnaire by Hudson et al., and the Revised Dyadic Adjustment Scale (RDAS) by Busby et al. Descriptive statistics and inferential analyses were conducted using SPSS and AMOS software. Assumptions of normality, linearity, and multicollinearity were checked and confirmed prior to model testing. Findings: The results revealed a significant direct effect of resilience on marital quality of life (β = 0.42, p < 0.001), indicating that higher resilience is associated with greater marital quality among married teachers. However, the indirect effect of resilience on marital quality of life through sexual satisfaction was not statistically significant (β = 0.10, p = 0.113), suggesting that sexual satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between resilience and marital well-being in this population. Model fit indices confirmed the adequacy of the proposed model (χ²/df = 2.54, RMSEA = 0.05, CFI = 0.94, NFI = 0.91, GFI = 0.95, AGFI = 0.93). Conclusion: Resilience plays a crucial and independent role in enhancing marital quality of life among married teachers, while sexual satisfaction, despite its overall importance, does not serve as a mediating factor in this relationship. The findings underscore the importance of psychological strengths in marital dynamics and suggest the need for interventions that enhance resilience to promote relational well-being, especially in high-stress professional contexts.
A Semantic-Psychological Analysis of the Expression Ḍayq al-Ṣadr in the Qur’an and Its Educational-Social Applications(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزههای تخصصی:
One of the concepts in the Qur’an related to the human psyche is the expression ḍayq al-ṣadr , which describes the tightness of the chest experienced by the Prophet (PBUH) when faced with psychological and social pressures. The verse “And We certainly know that your chest becomes constrained by what they say” (Q. 15:97) not only reflects the challenges of the era of revelation but can also serve as a profound approach to emotion regulation in contemporary life. Previous research has mostly examined this concept in the context of the asbāb al-nuzūl (occasions of revelation) of the verse, leaving a systematic psychological and pedagogical analysis largely unexplored. This study employs a descriptive-analytical method, using exegetical and psychological sources. The findings indicate that ḍayq al-ṣadr , as an emotional-physiological phenomenon, is comparable to situational stress constructs. Qur’anic strategies for addressing this condition—such as tasbīḥ (glorification of God), patience, and cognitive reappraisal of the prophetic mission—align with psychological findings on mindfulness, emotion regulation, resilience, and conflict management. The analysis further highlights four main interpretive perspectives: divine consolation of the Prophet’s heart, recognition of the human limits of prophets, emphasis on the continuity of the prophetic mission, and provision of practical strategies for coping with distress. the paper demonstrates conceptual overlaps between Qur’anic guidance and modern psychology, suggesting directions for educational and counseling applications.

Objective: Some factors, such as personality type, coping styles, and psychological capital, have an effect on the resilience of women with breast cancer. The purpose of the study is to investigate the structural relationship of these factors with each other.
Method : The subjects of this study were 231 women (20-55 years old) diagnosed with breast cancer and treated at the breast cancer department of Imam Khomeini Hospital in Tehran in 2022-2023. The Tebachnik and Fidel's formula (2007) was used to estimate the sample size. Psychological resilience (Connor & Davidson, 2003), NEO-PI personality questionnaire (Costa & McCrae, 1992), and coping strategies questionnaire (Endler & Parker, 1990) were used to measure the research variables.
Results Therefore, five personality factors can lead to an increase in resilience through coping strategies and psychological capital. In addition, the path coefficients of the two-way relationship of the variables showed that 44% of the changes in resilience were influenced by personality, 97% of the changes in coping strategies were influenced by personality, 91% of the changes in psychological capital were influenced by personality and 20% of the changes in resilience were influenced by personality. The effect of coping strategies and 36% of the changes in resilience showed the effect of psychological capital.
Conclusion : One of the determining factors of resilience in a chronic disease such as breast cancer is the role of personality traits, which is influenced by positive psychological variables such as coping strategies and psychological capital of the patient
The Mediating Role of Psychological Resilience in the Relationship Between Job Burnout Dimensions with Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment
حوزههای تخصصی:
The purpose of this research was to examine the mediating role of psychological resilience in the relationship between dimensions of job burnout with organizational commitment and job satisfaction among teachers. This research was descriptive and correlational in nature. The statistical population included all teachers in District 2 of Zahedan city in 2025, from which 223 individuals (144 women and 79 men) were selected through Stratified random sampling. To collect data, the Maslash (1985) burnout questionnaire, Smith et al.'s (1969) job satisfaction questionnaire, Allen and Meyer's(1991) organizational commitment questionnaire, and Connor and Davidson's(2003) resilience questionnaire were used. For data analysis, SPSS-26 software (for descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation coefficient) and Smart PLS-4 (for path analysis ) were used. Results showed that there is a negative and significant relationship between dimensions of job burnout (emotional exhaustion and depersonalization) with psychological resilience, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction, while personal accomplishment has a positive and significant relationship with these variables. Path analysis indicated that psychological resilience plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between dimensions of job burnout (personal accomplishment, depersonalization, and emotional exhaustion) and job satisfaction, but does not have a significant mediating role in the relationship between these dimensions and organizational commitment. The research model was able to explain 68 percent of the variance in job satisfaction, 46 percent of the variance in organizational commitment, and 46 percent of the variance in psychological resilience.
The mediating role of ambiguity intolerance and worry in the relationship between resilience and fatigue compassion in the nurses
حوزههای تخصصی:
This study aimed to determine the mediating role of ambiguity intolerance and worry in the relationship between resilience and fatigue compassion in nurses. The research method employed a descriptive-correlational design, and the statistical population of this study consisted of all nurses working in hospitals in Tehran Province in 2024. A convenience sampling method was used to select 220 nurses from this population. The study tools were included Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (2003), the Compassion Fatigue Inventory by Saberi et al. (2017), Penn State Worry Questionnaire by Meyer et al. (1990), and the Ambiguity Tolerance Scale-II by McLain (2009). Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data. The results showed that worry mediates the relationship between resilience and fatigue compassion negatively and significantly (β=-0.096, P=0.001). Ambiguity intolerance mediates the relationship between resilience and fatigue compassion negatively and significantly (β=-0.050, P=0.029). Based on the results of the present study, it seems that the lack of resilience among nurses in ambiguous and worrying situations causes burnout and fatigue compassion.

حوزههای تخصصی:
Background: Digital twin (DT) technologies have become significant enablers of urban management, utilising real-time information, data analytics, and IoT connectivity to manage challenging urban issues. Nonetheless, existing studies reveal the capacity of the DTs, while their generalization, flexibility, and cross-disciplinary application for various urban environments are not thoroughly studied yet. Objective: This article aims to evaluate the effectiveness of DT technologies in improving traffic management, energy efficiency, infrastructure maintenance, and public safety across six case study cities: There are Singapore, Helsinki, Barcelona, Dubai, New York, and Tokyo. The study examines how DTs can be extended and implemented to target urban issues and how their use operational performance might be optimized. Methods: The study used quantitative data processing, on-line data analysis with factorization and machine learning, and assessment of the case studies. Quantitative measures which included traffic flow, energy loss, down time, and response to emergency situations were investigated pre and post DT application. The improvements mentioned were statistically confirmed, and the metrics of scalability and adaptability were evaluated in the course of the cities. Results: DT technologies increased traffic flow by up to 42.9%, reduced energy losses by 35%, minimum down time was 42%, emergency response was 44.9%. This was the case because the network had high IoT coverage and because DTs were applied to the context when it specifically needed them. Conclusion: The study proves that DTs can be implemented in different environments due to their flexibility to accommodate different urban conditions. AI and cross domain integration can add to the effectiveness of DT in general and both are inarguably now crucial for the management of contemporary urban environment.
