The Causal Model of Authentic Leadership on Psychological Well-being and Job Satisfaction(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

This study aimed to investigate the impact of authentic leadership on psychological well-being and job satisfaction with mediating role of psychological capital among employees at Ministry of Sports and Youths. This was causal-applied study. The population consisted of all employees and managers at Ministry of Sports and Youth in 2018 (N= 831). The research tools included Avolio et al. Authentic Leadership Questionnaire, Luthans’s Psychological Capital Scale, Minnesota’s Job Satisfaction Standard Questionnaire, and Ryff's Psychological Well-being questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using partial least square (Smart PLS) and SPSS. Also, Sobel test and VAF were used to measure the impact and t–value of psychological capital. The findings showed that the authentic leadership impacted directly and indirectly on psychological well-being and job satisfaction of staff at Ministry of Sports and Youth with mediating role of psychological capital.

Identifying and Analyzing Factors Influencing Authentic Leadership(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study was to identify and analyze the factors influencing Authentic leadership in the Tax Administration of Iran. Methodology: The present study was qualitative in nature and was conducted using Delphi technique. The statistical population of the study consisted of experts, experts and managers specializing in tax affairs who had experience in the field of genuine leadership. There were 8 of them. These individuals were selected using targeted sampling. In order to collect data, a questionnaire was used which was distributed in 3 stages. In the first stage, after collecting the opinions of the respondents, similar opinions were identified and the main fields were identified. By identifying concepts and factors, a structured questionnaire was designed that was used as a tool for the second stage of Delphi. In the third round of Delphi, comments were ranked and statistical summaries were prepared, and finally the factors influencing genuine leadership in the tax administration were identified. In order to analyze the data, using the content analysis method, the results of the first stage of the Delphi questionnaire were analyzed and the main sentences and concepts were extracted. Findings: The findings of Delphi's analysis indicated that 16 factors were influential in genuine tax leadership. In other words, according to the main loads, the research model had a good reputation and strategic vision with a factor load (0.98) was the most determining factor in genuine leadership. Conclusion: The foundation of genuine leadership with the concept of originality expresses the conditions in which individuals behave in accordance with their values ​​and beliefs and their high human nature.

In order to increase the efficiency and productivity of employees and organizations industrial and organizational psychologists have identified and examined the important psychological structures affecting the effectiveness of organizations and to achieve this goal the variables of job enthusiasm, authentic leadership and scientific optimism have always been considered.The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediator role of the scientific optimism in relationship between authentic leadership andteachers' job engagement. The study is an applied descriptive correlational one in which he statistical population consisted of all English language teachers in the city of Sanandaj from among which 190 individuals were selected as samples based on Morgan Table and using a random stratified method. They responded to three questionnaires of authentic leadership, academic optimism, and job engagement. The results were analyzed using structural equation modeling method. Findings indicated that that authentic leadership has a direct effect on scientific optimism, scientific optimism has a direct effect on job enthusiasm, and authentic leadership has a direct effect on scientific optimism. furthermore, authenticleadership through scientific optimism has an indirect effect on job engagement and the hypothetical model of the research showed a good fit. Therefore, it can be said that authentic leadership and academic optimism are important variables that are closely related to job engagement in teachers.

The Effect of Authentic Leadership Style on the Performance of School Principals(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

To determine the effect of authentic leadership style on the performance of principals of schools, this research was conducted using   an exploratory mixed method. In the first phase that is, qualitative section, 13 experts of educational leadership were purposefully selected in Isfahan province and a semi-structured interview was conducted till theoretical saturation. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data. The main categories of authentic leadership were identified in seven themes of awareness, honesty, trust, and accurate assessment, supporter, transformational and training. In the second phase, a 24-item questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale was administered. The tools’ face and content validity were confirmed by experts. In total 120 questionnaires were completed and analyzed. The reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha of 0.82. In analyzing data structural equation method and exploratory factor analysis by PLS software were used and the effects of the observed variables on the existing variables were investigated. The findings reveal that; authentic leadership has a positive effect on the performance of school principals. Therefore, the results of the conceptual model were analyzed through the analysis of the path of authentic leadership and the performance of school principals.

Authentic Leadership and the Dimensions of Thriving at Work: The Roles of Insecure Attachment Styles(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

Authentic leaders are dedicated to achieving their goals with integrity, honesty, a strong sense of responsibility, and awareness, which builds trusting relationships with their employees. This trust boils down to numerous positive outcomes such as higher levels of thriving at work. Drawing on attachment theory, this study mainly investigates how authentic leadership can decrease attachment insecurity through which authentic leadership can impact their employees’ learning and vitality (i.e. two dimensions of thriving at work). This quantitative research has a deductive approach with a descriptive and correlational nature and employs a descriptive-survey methodology for data collection. Using A-priori sample size calculator for Structural Equation Models, the minimum statistical sample of the research was estimated to be 321 people. The data were collected from 330 employees of public service organizations in Kerman and Yazd through an online survey encompassing five scales with five-point Likert scales. The content and structure validities of the questionnaire were verified, and the reliability of all the scales was above the threshold of 0.7. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS, AMOS, and PROCESS Module. The results revealed that authentic leadership was negatively associated with both employees’ attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance. Meanwhile, these two attachment styles play mediating roles in determining how authentic leadership can affect employees’ learning and vitality. Notably, a leader’s authenticity, which features self-awareness, relational transparency, internalized moral perspective, and balanced processing, is more likely to reduce attachment insecurity and thus influence their thriving at work. This research extends our understanding of authentic leadership, attachment styles at work, and thriving at work. Practical implications and limitations are also discussed.
