تعداد بازدید : ۲۵۷ تعداد دانلود : ۱۳۵
The anticipated integration of 6G technology within the telecommunications sector is poised to significantly enhance communication capabilities in the forthcoming years. The proliferation of 6G within Etisalat's infrastructure is expected to concurrently drive the expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT), facilitating its operation across a diverse array of mobile and stationary devices. Within the IoT domain, particularly under the 6G framework, certain applications necessitate real-time operation and thus warrant prioritization over others in terms of communication and data transmission. The strategic clustering of users, based on assigned weight factors, can bolster the prioritization process, thereby optimizing the efficiency of real-time applications. This paper delineates methodologies for expediting user connectivity—termed 'real-time'—and delineates them from non-time-critical applications. The implementation of Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN) is proposed as a viable strategy for clustering IoT devices, thereby managing the increased volume of smaller, more granular data packets characteristic of 6G networks. Utilizing DBSCAN clustering facilitates the preemptive identification of potential user congestion and traffic, enabling the deployment of the outlined strategies to mitigate service degradation and maintain data transfer rates. This research explores the formulation of a prioritized scheduling system for requests, wherein, as per the DBSCAN algorithm, real-time applications are accorded elevated execution precedence.

Persian Carpet as a Media of Communication between Iranian and European Artists A Semiotic Approach to William Morris’ Tapestries(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

تعداد بازدید : ۶۰۵ تعداد دانلود : ۷۶۹
Persian carpet weaving is one of Iran’s most famous industries that has attracted the world’s attention to Persian arts through the centuries. What above all, have given prominence to Persian carpet as a beautiful work of art are the pattern and its composition in a two-dimensional space. The diversity of patterns, use of deep and beautiful colors, good composition, harmony of colors, delicate and poetic composition are among the most outstanding features of Persian carpet. Industrial advancement and development of transportation in the 19th century led the western explorers to travel eastward making them acquainted with the cultural heritage of these civilizations. William Morris, the leading thinker and artist of the British Arts and Crafts Movement is among the first to conduct a research on Persian carpet’s patterns and designs. In this paper, we are proposing a semiotic approach to the transaction between Persian artists who made beautiful and ever-lasting carpet designs and William Morris as a pioneer of Pre-Modern Movements in Europe, who studied and recognized the underlying principles of Persian art (mostly carpet), and applied them in a creative way to his own remarkable hand-made designs.

Compared to non-academic contexts, the use of address forms in academic settings is insufficiently researched. To fill this gap, the present study investigated the address forms commonly used by students and lecturers in Iranian universities in their oral and written communication. The analytical framework of this study is semio-cultural conceptualization. A qualitative descriptive research design was adopted, which included six open-ended questions. Thirty Iranian EFL lecturers participated in this study, 20 males and 10 females, representing 14 different universities. The average age of the participants was 50. The thematic analysis of the data revealed that in addition to the conventional polite forms, some innovations have emerged in the academic address practice in Iran. While students always addressed their lecturers using respectful forms and honorifics, the lecturers’ address choices varied according to sociolinguistic factors such as the students’ age, gender, degree of intimacy and distance, and educational status. In the majority of cases, the lecturers employed title plus last name; nevertheless, some of them opted for more intimate forms. However, such forms were never reciprocated by students owing to the perceived power dynamics and elevated respect for teachers, which is deeply entrenched in the culturally-constructed conceptualization of the unique teacher-student relationship in Iran. The findings also suggest that the scope of address studies can be expanded to include semio-cultural conceptualizations, such as emotion schema, and symbolism.

تعداد بازدید : ۶۶۶ تعداد دانلود : ۳۵۷
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are the sensor nodes that are generally interconnected and these nodes communicate wirelessly to collect the data from the environment around them. Sensor nodes are low-powered and distributed in a decentralized ADHOC manner. WSNs setup comes with some limitations such as energy constraints and the cooperative demands essential to perform multi-hop geographic routing for Internet of things (IoT) applications. Quality of Service (QoS) depends to a great extent on offering participating nodes an incentive for collaborating. The real-time applications of WSNs have potential design limitations such as energy and other QoS constraints in the context of IoT. This work formulates two different re-transmission strategies for optimized cross-layer design and also integrates the framework with a swarm intelligence technique assisted Bacteria Foraging Optimization (BFO) for efficient Cluster Head (CH) selection. The proposed work designs analytical modelling to realize the formulated concept and also simulates the computational design in a numerical computing tool. Finally, an extensive simulation is carried out using the MATLAB simulation tool. The obtained results show the effectiveness of the proposed system in terms of delay is reduced by 12%, throughput is increased to 10%, remaining energy of the network is increased to 11%, and packet delivery ratio of the proposed work in increased to 7-9% in comparison with the existing system.

Effective Components on Cash-based Intervention to Affected People by Natural Disasters Using Information and Communication Technology in Iran(مقاله پژوهشی وزارت بهداشت)

تعداد بازدید : ۶۰۱ تعداد دانلود : ۲۸۶
INTRODUCTION: Rescue and relief organizations start their operations from the first moments after the occurrence of a disaster. Moreover, they set up emergency accommodation camps after the emergency period to deliver aid and health packages with standard content based on the general needs of the affected people. However, if a family has infants, children, elderly, or sick members, these packages will not be able to meet their needs. Cash donations instead of goods respect the human dignity of the affected people after the emergency period and result in the recovery of the families and the economy of the region. Usage of information technology for this purpose leads to speed, accuracy, and transparency in the implementation of the above-mentioned method. Given the differences between the situation in Iran and the international community, the present study aimed to find localized components that affect the provision of cash-based interventions to the affected people by natural disasters using information and communications technology. METHODS: This mixed method research was performed in two stages; meta-synthesis was used in the first stage and Fuzzy Delphi was used in the second stage to extract the domestic components of the cash-based interventions. The statistical population in the meta-synthesis stage was the local and international journals as well as the performance reports of international aid agencies published during 2004-2019. Finally, through sample selection and systematic selection based on the defined keywords, 71 out of 388 studies were selected for the purposes of the research. In the second stage, the statistical population consisted of executive directors of local aid agencies and crisis management instructors at universities and international workshops. Eventually, 14 experts were selected judgmentally who participated in three Delphi rounds. FINDINGS: In the first stage, 18 components in four categories were determined using the seven-step model of Sandelowski and Barroso. In the first round of Delphi, one component was omitted and six other components were added according to the opinions of the experts. However, in the second and third rounds, all the components were approved by them without any further changes. According to the obtained Kendall’s rank correlation coefficient which was about 0.703, the local components were agreed upon by the selected experts. CONCLUSION: The determined local components that affect the process of transferring cash-based interventions to the affected people by natural disasters using information and communications technology consisted of 23 components that were screened and confirmed by the experts. These components can be used as a basis for the development of a process model for the systematic electronic transfer of money to the affected people by natural disasters in Iran after the emergency response period.

تعداد بازدید : ۶۰۹ تعداد دانلود : ۳۹۵
Speaking is deemed by many scholars as a fundamental skill in second language (L2) learning. From the myriad of factors playing a role in willingness to communicate (WTC) in a foreign language, communication apprehension and self-perceived competence have attracted a good deal of interest in recent decades. Furthermore, it is generally agreed that cooperative teaching can enhance learners' linguistic and psychological variables. To unravel the aforementioned dilemmas, 60 male and female EFL learners within the age range of 19 to 25(i.e., 30 each) were selected out of 100 participants via double sampling from several English institutes in Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan province and were assigned equally to an experimental and a control group. Subsequently, the treatment started where the experimental group was taught based on cooperative teaching, while the control group received conventional treatment. Before and after the treatment, three questionnaires (WTC, communication apprehension and self-perceived competence) were given to all the participants in three different phases. After collecting the data, they were analyzed descriptively. Finally, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient was run. The findings of the study highlighted that there is a negative correlation between communication apprehension and WTC as well as a positive correlation between self-perceived competence and WTC of Iranian EFL learners in post intervention. The findings further indicated that cooperative teaching can influence learners' WTC, self-perceived competence and communication apprehension.

The development of tourism in today's world can have various impacts, including economic, social and cultural impacts on the local community. Therefore, understanding residents' attitudes towards tourists is a key element in managing sustainable tourism. This study was conducted to find views, emotions and behaviors of Sanandaj residents towards tourists and how these views influence their behaviors. For this purpose, questionnaires containing scales on stereotypes, emotions and behaviors of residents towards tourists based on Tse and Tung's conceptual model were distributed among 400 residents of Sanandaj in November 2024 using convenience sampling. This research is applied and follows a quantitative approach, with data collected in a survey format. For analyzing the data, T-test, Regression, Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis Tests were used. The results indicate that while residents hold positive feelings and attitudes towards tourists, such as being "friendly" and "sincere", there are also negative concerns, such as being "immoral" and "rude", which may stem from increased traffic and disruptions in daily life. Furthermore, regression analysis shows that the components of "immoral" and "uncivilized" have a significant effect on reluctance to assist tourists. Individuals with higher education and men tend to be more inclined towards positive interactions with tourists. The research findings can assist in managing host-tourist relationships and designing spaces for better interaction between them.
