Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the mediatory role of spiritual well-being in relationship attachment styles and adaptive problem-solving styles. Methods: The research method was the correlation of the type structural equation modeling. The population included all Undergraduate students Poldokhtar Higher Education Center who were studying in the academic year 2020-2021. 230 students participated in this study online and respond to Problem Solving Style (PSS), Adult Attachment Scale (AAS), and Spiritual Well-Being Scale (SWBS). Data analysis was performed using the Path analysis statistical method and by the SPSS-22, and AMOS-24 software. Results: The results showed that secure and avoidant attachment indirectly mediate the students' adaptive problem-solving styles by mediating spiritual well-being; ambivalent attachment does not, directly and indirectly, affect students' adaptive problem-solving styles. Secure and avoidant attachments directly affect spiritual well-being. Spiritual well-being also has a direct effect on adaptive problem-solving. Conclusion: Overall, the results of this study showed that spiritual well-being mediates the relationship between secure and avoidance attachment style with adaptive problem-solving styles. The Relationship between Perceived Islamic Parenting and the Desire to Get Married Mediated by Spiritual Well-being in Single Students(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزههای تخصصی:
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived Islamic parenting and the desire to get married mediated by spiritual well-being in single students of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
Methods: The research method was descriptive and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). This study's statistical population included single students of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad who were studying in 2021, among which 400 students were selected through purposeful sampling and completed these questionnaires: Islamic Parenting Questionnaire of Maktobian Bharanchi et al., (2015), Spiritual Well-being Questionnaire of Golparvar et al., (2015), and the student version of desire to get married questionnaire of Heydari, et al., (2004). Structural Equation Modeling was used to analyze the data.
Results: The Pearson correlation results showed a positive and significant correlation between perceived Islamic parenting and spiritual well-being with the desire to get married (p<0.05). In addition, results showed that perceived Islamic parenting could predict the desire to get married both directly and through spiritual well-being and were significant (p<0.001).
Conclusion: According to the research findings, perceived Islamic parenting and spiritual well-being are the variables affecting the desire to get married in single students.
The effect of Spiritual Therapy on Psychological Resilience and the Spiritual Well-being of Caring for Patients During the COVID-19 Pandemic(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزههای تخصصی:
This study aimed to assess the effect of spiritual therapy on psychological resilience and the spiritual well-being of caring for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study was a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test post-test design with control and intervention groups. The statistical population of the study included all caregivers of patients, who were referred to Tehran's hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic, for treatment between June and September 2021. Thirty caregivers who were willing to participate in the research were selected as the sample using purposive sampling and randomly divided into experimental and control groups. Each group of caregivers consisted of 15 individuals. Both experimental and control groups underwent a pretest on Conner & Davidson's (CD-RISC) Resiliency questionnaire and Spiritual well-being scale (SWBS). The experimental group received fourteen sessions of spiritual therapy (90-minute sessions twice a week), but the control group did not receive any spiritual therapy. In addition to descriptive statistics, Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to analyze the results and all analyzes were carried out using SPSS-18 software. Findings indicated that spiritual therapy showed a significant difference in the results among the two groups (P<0.001). Results showed significantly increased psychological resilience and the spiritual well-being mean scores of the caregivers in the experimental group compared to the control group after the intervention. Consequently, it is beneficial to implement practices to promote the psychological resilience and spiritual well-being of caregivers. This study provides important implications for clinical practice.

This study aimed to investigate the relationships between job self-efficacy, sense of coherence, and spiritual well-being among adults with hearing impairments. Specifically, it sought to determine the extent to which sense of coherence and spiritual well-being predict job self-efficacy in this population. A cross-sectional study design was employed, involving 300 adults with hearing impairments. Participants were recruited from rehabilitation centers, support groups, and online platforms. Data were collected using three standardized instruments: the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE), the Sense of Coherence Scale (SOC-13), and the Spiritual Well-Being Scale (SWBS). Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression analyses were conducted using SPSS-27 to explore the relationships between the variables. The mean job self-efficacy score was 28.56 (SD = 6.43), the mean sense of coherence score was 70.28 (SD = 14.92), and the mean spiritual well-being score was 92.65 (SD = 16.37). Job self-efficacy was significantly correlated with both sense of coherence (r = 0.53, p < 0.01) and spiritual well-being (r = 0.47, p < 0.01). The regression analysis revealed that sense of coherence (β = 0.37, p < 0.001) and spiritual well-being (β = 0.32, p < 0.001) were significant predictors of job self-efficacy, explaining 37% of the variance (F(2, 297) = 87.92, p < 0.001). The study highlights the significant roles of sense of coherence and spiritual well-being in predicting job self-efficacy among adults with hearing impairments. These findings suggest that interventions aimed at enhancing these psychological and spiritual dimensions could effectively support job self-efficacy in this population. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies and explore additional factors that may influence job self-efficacy.
Comparison of the Effectiveness of Unified Transdiagnostic Treatment and Compassion-Based Approach on Suicidal Ideation and Spiritual Well-Being in Women Victims of Domestic Violence(مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)
حوزههای تخصصی:
Objective: The present study aimed to compare the effectiveness of Unified Transdiagnostic Treatment and the Compassion-Based Approach on suicidal ideation and spiritual well-being in women victims of domestic violence. Methods: This study is applied in terms of its purpose and quasi-experimental in nature and method, utilizing a pre-test, post-test, and two-month follow-up design with a control group. The study population comprised all women victims of domestic violence who sought help from social emergency centers and family counseling clinics in Tehran during the second half of 2023. The sample consisted of 51 participants who were selected through purposive sampling and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The first experimental group received an eight-session (90-minute each) Compassion-Based Therapy intervention program, while the second experimental group received a ten-session (60-minute each) Unified Transdiagnostic Treatment program at these centers. The control group did not receive any intervention. Data collection tools included the Violence Against Women Questionnaire by Haj-Yahya (2001), the Beck and Steer Suicidal Ideation Scale (1991), and the Spiritual Well-Being Scale by Paloutzian and Ellison (1982). The obtained data were analyzed using repeated measures analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) and Bonferroni post hoc test with SPSS 27 software. Findings: The study findings indicate that both Compassion-Based Therapy and Unified Transdiagnostic Treatment led to a reduction in suicidal ideation and an increase in spiritual well-being in the experimental groups. Additionally, considering the mean difference, Unified Transdiagnostic Treatment had a greater effect than the Compassion-Based Approach in reducing suicidal ideation and enhancing spiritual well-being (p < .05). Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, Compassion-Based Therapy and Unified Transdiagnostic Treatment are effective approaches for improving spirituality and reducing suicidal ideation in women victims of domestic violence. Psychologists and family specialists are encouraged to utilize these findings to enhance the quality of family life.
