The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of emotional and cognitive processing strategies on students' academic adjustment and academic engagement. This study was applied and in terms of research method was quasi-experimental with pre-test-post-test design and control group. The statistical population of this study consisted of male high school students in region 2 of Kerman. They were selected through cluster sampling method and randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups. Then the experimental group was trained and intervened for 8 sessions (90 minutes per session) and the control group did not receive any training. After the training sessions, the post-test was taken. The instruments used in this study included Sina Wesing (1993) adjustment questionnaire and Zarang academic engagement questionnaire (2012).To analyze the data, multivariate analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) and multivariate analysis of variance (MANCOVA)were performed using SPSS-22 software. The results of analysis of covariance showed that the intervention of strategies based on emotional and cognitive processing is effective in increasing academic adjustment and academic engagement of students. The results also showed that the effectiveness of emotional and cognitive processing strategies separately with academic engagement and students' academic adjustment was significantly related at the level of (p<0.05).Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that teaching intervention strategies of cognitive processing and emotional processing is effective in the process of increasing academic adjustment and students' academic engagement.

Purpose: The aim of the present study was to compare mindfulness-based cognitive therapy and grammatical mental imagery with cognitive processing on the emotional processing of mothers with children with autism spectrum disorder. Methodology: The research was applied in terms of purpose and in terms of cross-sectional data collection method and quasi-experimental research method was pre-test-post-test with a control group. The statistical population of the present study is all mothers with children with autism spectrum disorder in two schools under education in the city. Ahvaz had 105 students in 2019. A total of 45 mothers with children with autism spectrum disorder were randomly selected and 15 people in the group of cognitive therapy based on mindfulness, 15 people in the group of grammatical mental imagery with cognitive processing and Fifteen people were in the control group. Assessment tools included Baker et al. (2010), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy protocol and grammatically processed grammatical mental imagery protocol. Data analysis using analysis of covariance And was done by SPSS software version 24. Findings: Based on the research findings, the effect of statistical group type (control and experiments) on the recorded scores of emotion processing (p = 0.00, F = 157/407) and the separate effect of the test time variable (p = 0.00, F / 107/15 And the significance of the simultaneous effect of group type and test status (pre-test and post-test) on emotion processing scores (p = 0.00, F = 26.757). Comparing the two methods of cognitive therapy and imaging, a significant level equal to 0.00 and less than the error level of 0.05 has been obtained. Conclusion: Based on the research findings, cognitive therapy based on mindfulness and grammatical mental imagery with cognitive processing is effective on emotional processing of mothers with children with autism spectrum disorder. Also, between the effectiveness of cognitive therapy based on mindfulness and grammatical mental imagery. There is a significant difference with cognitive processing in emotional processing of mothers with children with autism spectrum disorder.

This study investigated the comparison of cognitive failures, emotional processing and resilience among the girl students with and without test anxiety. The present research is a causal-comparative study. The sample of study was 203 students studying tenth and eleventh grade in Rasht in 2019. 92 students of this sample were with test anxiety and 111 students of it were without test anxiety. The sample of study has been identified and selected from students by cluster sampling with the cutoff point of 50. The students completed Spielberger Test Anxiety Questionnaire, Baker’s Emotional Processing Scale and Connor-Davidson Psychological Resilience Scale. The data was analyzed by multivariable analysis of variance. Results showed that the students with test anxiety have higher scores in cognitive failures, also they have higher scores in emotional processing and lower scores in resilience than students without test anxiety. These results show that cognitive failures, emotional processing and resilience have determinant role in test anxiety.

Objective: The present research aimed to examine the effectiveness of neurofeedback therapy on emotional processing, irrational beliefs, and aggression in patients with generalized anxiety disorder. Method: This study was a quasi-experimental pre-test, post-test, and follow-up design with a control group. The research population comprised all women with generalized anxiety disorder visiting psychiatric treatment centers in Golpayegan in the first half of 2019, from which 30 female patients were purposefully selected based on inclusion criteria and randomly assigned to either the experimental or control groups. The experimental group received eight 30-minute sessions of neurofeedback therapy. Meanwhile, the control group did not receive this intervention during the research process. The questionnaires used in this research included the Spitzer Generalized Anxiety Scale (2006), the Baker Emotional Processing Scale (2007), the Jones Irrational Beliefs Questionnaire (1968), and the Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire (1992). Data were analyzed using repeated measures analysis of variance with SPSS-24 software. Findings: The results of the data analysis indicated that neurofeedback therapy significantly affected emotional processing (F=10.89, P<0.001), irrational beliefs (F=10.83, P<0.001), and aggression (F=8.16, P<0.008). Conclusion: Given the confirmed effectiveness of neurofeedback therapy on emotional processing, irrational beliefs, and aggression in patients with generalized anxiety disorder, it is recommended that workshops be organized to familiarize counselors and therapists more thoroughly with the principles and techniques of this treatment in the field of this disorder.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in reducing negative affect, improving emotional processing, and enhancing psychological hardiness in women experiencing domestic violence. Methods and Materials: A randomized controlled trial was conducted with 30 participants, divided equally into intervention and control groups. The intervention group underwent eight 90-minute ACT sessions over eight weeks, while the control group received no treatment. Outcomes were assessed at pre-intervention, post-intervention, and five-month follow-up stages using validated tools for Negative Affect, Emotional Processing, and Psychological Hardiness. Data were analyzed using repeated-measures ANOVA and Bonferroni post-hoc tests, with SPSS-27. Findings: Significant improvements were observed in the intervention group across all variables. For Negative Affect, mean scores decreased from 3.52 (SD = 0.45) at pre-intervention to 2.89 (SD = 0.39) post-intervention and 2.45 (SD = 0.33) at follow-up (F(1,28) = 30.19, p = 0.001, η² = 0.52). Emotional Processing scores increased from 3.20 (SD = 0.40) to 3.80 (SD = 0.37) post-intervention and 4.25 (SD = 0.31) at follow-up (F(1,28) = 34.38, p = 0.001, η² = 0.55). Psychological Hardiness improved from 3.15 (SD = 0.38) to 3.95 (SD = 0.35) post-intervention and 4.10 (SD = 0.32) at follow-up (F(1,28) = 36.57, p = 0.001, η² = 0.58). The control group showed minimal changes across all measures. Conclusion: ACT was highly effective in reducing negative affect, improving emotional processing, and enhancing psychological hardiness in women experiencing domestic violence. The results suggest that ACT is a valuable therapeutic approach for this population, with sustained benefits over time.
