چکیده
این مقاله به بررسی چالش های وجودشناختی نهفته در منطق محمولات کلاسیک می پردازد ونشان می دهدکه چگونه پیش فرض های وجودی این منطق، با فهم عرفی و شهودهایِ زبان در تعارض است، وبه مشکلات فلسفی ومنطقی می انجامد از جمله این چالش هامی توان به ناتوانی دربرخورد باموجودات گذشته، نام های افسانه ای، هستندههای محاوره ای و اشیاءِ مبهم اشاره کرد همچنین، استفاده از سورهای وجودی در متون حاوی گرایش گزاره-ای، منطق موجهات و منطق های مرتبه بالاتر، تعهدات وجودشناختی پیچیده و ناخواسته ای ایجاد می کند.در پاسخ به این مشکلات، مقاله چهار راهبرد اصلی را برای اصلاح منطق محمولات کلاسیک بررسی می کند: بازتعبیر جملات مشکل ساز، طبیعی گرایی ،استفاده از تفسیر جانشینی،پذیرش اشیاءِ ناموجود براساس ماینونگ گرایی.درضمن هرراهبرد،توان آن در پاسخ گویی به چالش های مطرح شده نیزسنجیده می شود. این راهکارهاتلاش می کنند بدون آنکه درساختارنحوی و قواعد منطق کلاسیک تغییری ایجاد کنند، آن را از تعهدات وجودشناختی غیرضروری برهانند. سرانجام، مقاله تأکید می کندکه برای رفع مشکلات وجودشناختی منطق محمولات، بازاندیشی در پیش فرض های آن وبه کارگیری راهبردهای جایگزین ضروری است.Ontological Difficulties of the Classical Predicate Logic and Solutions for them
This article examines the ontological challenges inherent in Classical Predicate Logic,showing how its existential presuppositions not only conflict with common sense and linguistic intuitions, but also lead to philosophical and logical problems.These include the inability to deal with past entities,mythical and empty names,colloquial entities,ontologically ambiguous entities.Furthermore,the use of existential quantifier in texts containing propositional attitudes, modal logic, and higher-order logics creates complex and sometimes unintended ontological commitments.In response to these problems, the article examines four main strategies for modifyingClassicalPredicate Logic:paraphrasing problematic sentences, naturalism,using the substitution interpretation instead of the existential interpretation, and Meinongianism. Each strategy is also assessed for its ability to respond to the challenges posed.These strategies attempt to free classical logic from unnecessary ontological commitments without changing its syntactic structure, axioms and rules.Finally,the article emphasizes that in order to resolve the ontological problems of the predicate logic, it is necessary to rethink its assumptions and employ alternative strategies.
