چکیده
نوشته های تاریخی، در کنار جذابیت ذاتی خویش، زمانی که بر اسنادی قابل اتکاء استوار باشند، از ارزش روایتی برخوردار میشوند. اما همین نوشته ها آن هنگام که خود به سند تبدیل میشوند، ارزشمندی دوچندان مییابند. در اینجاست که کار سندکاوی، در هم تنیدگی سند و رویداد را آشکار میسازد. مقاله حاضر با ارزشمندپنداری این پدیده، در پاسخ به پرسش از امکان تبدیل این نوشته ها به اسناد پشتیبان سیاستها در سطحی دیگر به بررسی نمونه هایی کم نظیر از آن در سیاست خارجی بریتانیا در مورد ایران در جنگ دوم جهانی میپردازد و آن را در زمره مهمترین اسناد پشتیبان تصمیمات سیاستهای ایرانی بریتانیا در بازه زمانی موردنظر قرار میدهد.Policy Document Analysis: A Study of Supporting Documents for British Policies on Iran During World War II
Historical writings, along their inherent appeal, gain narrative value when grounded in reliable documents. Yet when these writings themselves become documents, their significance doubles. Herein lies the work of document analysis: it reveals the interdependence between documents and events. Esteeming this phenomenon, the present article addresses the question of whether such writings can serve as policy-supporting documents at a higher layer. It examines rare examples from Britain’s foreign policy toward Iran during World War II, positioning them among the most crucial documents underpinning British policy decisions on Iran in the specified period.
