چکیده
در سال 210 ق.م آنتیوخوس سوم، احتمالاً در واکنش به هجوم ارشک دوم به ماد، لشکرکشی خود به ایران را آغاز کرد؛ ارشک از مقابل او به تدریج به پارت و سپس گرگان عقب نشست و در یکی از شهرهای این سرزمین محاصره شد. درباره این نبرد دو دسته منبع با دو رویکرد متفاوت وجود دارند؛ نخست که تنها شامل پُلوبیوس می شود، هرچند به طور کامل به دست ما نرسیده، چنان که پیدا است با جانب داری از آنتیوخوس نتیجه را به سود او می نمایاند؛ و دیگری، که شامل روایات تروگوس/ یوستینوس و مالالاس می شود، نتیجه نبرد را پیمان دوستی میان ارشک و آنتیوخوس می داند. هرچند، جز گزارش پلوبیوس، در منابع نام برده در این جنگ سخنی از سکاها در میان نیست و گزارش پلوبیوس نیز مبهم است، با واکاوی منابع می توان به نقش تعیین کننده سکاها در این جنگ پی برد. بنابراین، پرسش اصلی این خواهد بود که سکاها در نبرد ارشک دوم و آنتیوخوس سوم چه نقشی داشتند؟ یافته های پژوهش نشان خواهد داد که اقوام سکایی آپاسیاک، داهه و احتمالاً آلان ها و دربیک ها در مرحله آخر نبرد از ارشک پشتیبانی کرده و نتیجه را به سود او تغییر داده اند.The role of the Scythians in the battle of Arsaces II with Antiochus III
In 210 BC, Antiochus III, probably in response to Arshak II's invasion of Media, began his campaign to Iran; Arshak gradually retreated from him to Parthia and then to Hyrcania and was besieged in one of the cities of this land. About this battle, there are two groups of sources with two different approaches; The first group, which only includes Polybius, although it has not reached us in its entirety, But it is clear that Polybius favors Antiochus and shows the result in his favor, and the other one, which includes the traditions of Trogus/Justinus and Malalasو sees the result of the battle as a friendship pact between Arshak and Antiochus. Although there is no mention of the Scythians in this war except for the report of Polybius, and the report of Polybius is also ambiguous, but by analyzing the sources, we can understand the decisive role of the Scythians in this war. Therefore, the main question will be, what role did the Scythians play in the battle between Arshak II and Antiochus III? The findings of the research will show that the Scythian tribes of Apasiakae, Dahae, and possibly the Alans and Derbics supported Arshak in the last stage of the battle and changed the result in his favor.
