چکیده
ایرانیان در جریان جنگ های ایران و روسیه برای نخستین بار، متوجه عقب افتادگی جامعه خود شدند. به عبارت بهتر، نیروهای مسلح ایران نخستین بخش از کشور بودند که نشانه های این عقب افتادگی، در آنها مشاهده شد. ازآن پس تلاش های دولتمردان ایران در دولت قاجار و سپس پهلوی در راستای افزایش توان نیروهای نظامی ایران متمرکز شد. به رغم تلاش های انجام شده در این زمینه، شکست های نظامی ایران، اشغال کشور و مداخلات خارجی در این دوران نشان می دهد که این تلاش ها نتایج مطلوبی درپی نداشته است، لیکن این امر مهم در ایرانِ پس از انقلاب اسلامی روند متفاوتی را طی کرده است. این مقاله در همین راستا قصد دارد با بهره گیری از تحلیل واقع گرایی تأثیر وجود/ عدم استقلال سیاسی را بر افزایش/ کاهش قدرت نظامی بررسی کند. پرسش مقاله این است که بین استقلال سیاسی و روند افول و احیای قدرت نظامی در تاریخ معاصر ایران چه ارتباطی وجود دارد؟ یافته های مقاله با توجه به اسناد و متون معتبر تاریخی نشان داد که استقلال سیاسی در ایرانِ پس از انقلاب اسلامی در مقایسه با دوره های قبل، باعث تقویت و توسعه قدرت نظامی ایران شده و همین قدرت نظامی به حفظ و تداوم استقلال سیاسی کمک کرده است.The Correlation between Political Independence and Military Power in Contemporary Iran
Iranians first became aware of their society's backwardness during the Iran-Russia wars. In other words, Iran's armed forces were the first sector of the country to exhibit signs of this backwardness. Since then, the efforts of Iranian statesmen during the Qajar and later Pahlavi governments were focused on enhancing the capabilities of Iran's military forces. Despite these efforts, Iran's military defeats, the occupation of the country, and foreign interventions during this period indicate that these endeavors did not yield auspicious outcomes. However, this issue took a different trajectory in post-Islamic Revolution Iran. This article aims to examine the impact of the presence or absence of political independence on the increase or decrease of military power, using a realist analysis framework. The central question of the article is: What is the relationship between political independence and the decline and revival of military power in contemporary Iranian history? The findings, based on historical documents and credible sources, demonstrate that political independence in post-Islamic Revolution Iran, compared to previous periods, has led to the strengthening and development of Iran's military power. This military power, in turn, has contributed to the preservation and continuity of political independence.
