تحلیل رابطه ملال و خشونت در سه گانه لی نین مک دونا؛ با تکیه بر نظریه خشونت آرنت (مقاله علمی وزارت علوم)

چکیده
خشونت از واضح ترین بن مایه های آثار مارتین مک دونا است که نه تنها در نمایشنامه ها، بلکه در آثار سینمایی او نیز قابل مشاهده است. این بن مایه در سه نمایشنامه ابتدایی او که با نام سه گانه لی نین شناخته می شود با عنصری به نام ملال پیوند می خورد که خود نیز می تواند به عنوان بن مایه سه گانه لی نین در نظر گرفته شود. نکته حائز اهمیت این است که مک دونا در این سه گانه با نگاهی به رابطه سیاسی انگلیس و ایرلند در زمان رویداد وقایع، رابطه ملال و خشونت را پایه گذاری می کند. در این پژوهش با هدف تبیین چگونگی رابطه ملال و خشونت، ابتدا این مفاهیم از منظرهای متفاوت مورد بررسی قرار می گیرند. در ادامه با تکیه بر نظریه خشونت هانا آرنت، این رابطه در سه نمایشنامه ملکه زیبایی لی نین، جمجمه ای در کانه مارا و غرب غمزده مورد تحلیل و بررسی قرار خواهد گرفت. بر این اساس پرسش اصلی این پژوهش سیر تبدیل ملال به خشونت است. گردآوری اطلاعات به روش کتابخانه ای و تحلیل، به روش کیفی صورت می پذیرد. نتایج نشان می دهد که ملال و خشونت رابطه ای علت و معلولی با یکدیگر دارند و ملال می تواند علت خشونتگری شخصیت های سه گانه لی نین باشد. اکثر شخصیت های این سه گانه که دست به خشونت می زنند به نوعی درگیر ملال هستند و علت این ملال نیز چهار عامل است که از خارج به آن ها تحمیل می شود. این عوامل باعث می شود شخصیت ها کمبود چیزی را در زندگی خود احساس کنند که این حس با احساس ملال قرابت زیادی دارد. درنهایت شخصیت ها به علت ملول بودن انگیزه زیادی برای عمل پیدا می کنند و زمانی که با موانعی جدی روبه رو می شوند، دست به خشونت می زنند تا به اهداف خود برسند.The Study of the Relationship between Boredom and Violence in McDonagh’s Leenane Trilogy based on Arendt’s Theory of Violence
Violence is one of the most prominent elements in the works of Martin McDonagh, which can be observed not only in his plays but also in his films. This element is linked to a concept called “boredom” in his early trilogy of plays known as the Leenane trilogy, which can also be considered a foundation for the trilogy. Notably, McDonagh establishes the relationship between boredom and violence considering the political relationship between England and Ireland at the time. This relationship, which has a colonial nature, is evident both in the historical period of the plays and in the relationships between the characters. McDonagh directly refers to it in the first episode of the trilogy. In this study, to elucidate the relationship between boredom and violence, these concepts are first examined from different perspectives. Then, relying on Hannah Arendt’s theory of violence, this relationship is analyzed and studied in three plays: The Beauty Queen of Leenane, A Skull in Connemara, and The Lonesome West. Accordingly, the main question of this research is the process of transforming boredom into violence. Data collection has been carried out through library research and qualitative analysis has been applied as the research method. The results show that boredom and violence have a causal relationship with each other, and boredom can be the cause of the violent tendencies of the characters in the Leenane trilogy. Most of these characters who resort to violence are somehow involved in boredom, and the cause of this boredom is four factors imposed on them from outside. These factors cause the characters to feel a lack of something in their lives, which is closely related to the feeling of boredom. Finally, due to their lack of motivation, the characters resort to violence when faced with serious obstacles to achieve their goals.
