چکیده
نظریه های مختلفی در روابط بین الملل ساخته و پرداخته شده اند که هر کدام از آنها ادعا دارند که از قدرت تبیینی بیشتری برخوردارند و در واقع اغلب آنها ادعای صدق و حقیقت و تبیین بهتر و کاملتر روابط بین الملل و پدیده های بین المللی را دارند. پست مدرنیسم نیز به عنوان یکی از نظریات روابط بین الملل، دیسیپیلین روابط بین الملل را مورد تردید قرار داده و متفکران آن با تبارشکنی و ساختارشکنی به سراغ پدیده های بین المللی رفتند، قائل به امکان شناخت بهتر روابط بین الملل می باشد. این مقاله با استفاده از روش توصیفی-تحلیلی، سعی دارد به این سوال پاسخ دهد که چگونه می توان صحت و کذب نظریه پست مدرنیسم در روابط بین الملل را که مدعی شناخت بهتر روابط بین الملل است، اثبات کرد؟ در پاسخ، این فرضیه را به بوته آزمون می گذارد که پست مدرنیسم به عنوان یک نظریه روابط بین الملل هر چند توانسته است افق های فکری جدیدی را پیش روی اندیشمندان این حوزه بگشاید و به فهم نظری روابط بین الملل کمک زیادی کند، اما به واسطه اینکه از ناسازگاری، اغتشاش و عدم ارتباط منطقی بین مفاهیم و مقولات مطرح در ابعاد هستی شناسی، معرفت شناسی و روش شناسی رنج می برد، در نتیجه از قابلیت توضیح و تحلیل اندکی برای تبیین پدیده ها و موضوعات روابط بین الملل برخوردار شده است. در نتیجه، نتوانسته است به گفته برخی از متفکران روابط بین الملل امور جهان را آن طور که پیش بینی می کرد، پیش ببرد.The Assessment of Truth and False Claims of Postmodernism in International Relations
